last minute things and chess

I had more hotel cafe food for breakfast and then we headed to the dealer's room for some last minute browsing. X took me in through the exit so we bypassed the line. ^-^ I finally found the usagi plush that Honey-senpai from Ouran is always holding. Of course, I bought it. ^.^ *hugs usagi*

Cosplay chess was so funny. I missed it last year so I'm glad I was able to watch it this year. The theme was shoujo vs. shonen series. Some of X's friends were on the board. I don't remember who were the king and queen of the shonen side, but Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune were the respective king and queen for the shoujo side. ^.^ Sailor Chibi-moon stood on the side and jumped in for a duo attack with Sailor Moon. When Kagome fell, Inuyasha rushed over to her side when she fell and avenged Kagome in his next move. *awww* ^.^ If you can remember, I was strangled by Inuyasha's mother last year. Well, she was at the sidelines and rushed in to help with Inuyasha's second attack. Unfortunately, they lost. ^^; I don't know how it happened, but a bunch of Gundam Seed cosplayers started dancing to 'What is love' like they did for the masquerade. May I also mention that the shounen side threw plastic eggs at the shoujo side? How do they plan these things? Sound effects and all.... ^^; Youtube clip of all attacks

last round of panels and events

After cosplay chess ended, we went to watch the last 15 min. of Ranma 1/2. It was the episode of when Akane and a doll spirit switched 'bodies' and the doll tried to kill Ranma. It had my fav. scene of Akane (really the doll) trying to kiss Ranma and he in shock from her advances. ^.^

The next panel, FF/Square Enix talked about everything, even Kingdom Hearts and the unbeatable Sephiroth. We also talked about how Japan gets all the wonderful cellphone games and the unavailability of them in the U.S. We want our cellphone games! ^^;

I left the panel early so I could attend the Kyou Kara Maoh panel...which just so happens to be held by the same girls (minus the asian) who did the yaoi panel. ^.^ Since we were talking about the wide variety of pairings, the major rule (to uphold peace at the panel) is the call for no wanks. OTPs are okay, just no 'Your pairing sucks!' statements. ^.^ If the rule gets broken, the penance is to draw something...mostly characters getting paddled with yaoi paddles. ^^;

We also talked about the differences between the novels, manga and anime. Apparently, the possibility of the pairing ConradxYuri is more canon in the novels then in the anime. Admist all the shonen ai talk, I realized that there were children in the group. Two or three under 7 years old kids in the front row...with their mothers. And the mothers were asking the questions. ^^; Wow.... *is surprised*

After the panel, I headed to the 'Otaku Craft Hour' and made two 'makurokuroske' or 'black soot' from Totoro. ^^; I met up X afterwards (who stepped out after the FF panel) and we went to watch fandub parodies. I didn't understand much of it, except someone trying to take over the world and the crew from Weiss Kreuz giving someone a makeover in a parody of 'Queer Eye.' ^.^

and so it ends

I finished off the con at Outback again since I promised myself that I'll order the Ahi tuna salad once more before I leave. It would have been better if I didn't order the fries appetizer since it was huge. O.O We couldn't finish it all so I took it home. ^^; Oishi! After lunch/dinner, we met up with X's friends in front of the convention center where we said our goodbyes and I went back to the hotel to wait for okaasan. She came around 7:30pm and we went home with me sleeping all the way.
