'Yeah Well, I'm Tired'

"I'm tired." Matt sighed as he flopped down into the seat next to James.

"You're tired?" James questioned with raised eyebrows looking at Matt in disbelief. "Are you ill or summit?"

"No, I'm just tired." Matt moaned, James continued to look at him in disbelief and placed his hand on Matts forehead. Matt shuffled away from it and glared at James.

"I'm just tired!" he whined. Spotting Matt was starting to look annoyed James sat back in his seat and looked at Matt with a small smile.

"It's just unusual, you always want to go out." he shrugged and Matt moved so he was laid out on the sofa, his head resting on James' lap.

"Yeah well, I'm tired." he stated, looking up at James before closing his eyes. James shuffled around slightly in his seat to get comfy but didn't move Matt. Instead he reached out and brushed away the strands of Matt's hair that had fallen across his eyes. They sat in silence for a few minutes, James suspecting Matt was falling asleep before he heard loud footsteps coming towards them and looked up to see Charlie stood there.

"I was coming to find out if you two were coming out tonight." he said, a smile curving his lips as he looked at the pair on the sofa. "But I'm guessing you're happy where you are." he finished.

"Yeah, for once Matt is actually tired." James said, finding out Matt wasn't quite asleep yet as he felt Matt sleepily hit his chest with the back of his hand and mutter 'hey'. James and Charlie both just laughed which Matt decided to ignore as he seemed to settle for trying to go to sleep again.

"Well, I'm going out with my brothers anyway, so see you two later." Charlie said cheerfully before he turned and walked away and off the tour bus.

"Sooo...since we're staying in...what are we gonna do?" James asked once Charlie had gone only to get no answer and find Matt had fallen asleep. James looked at the sleeping Matt for a moment, smiling fondly before he looked around for the TV remote only to spot it sat at the other side of the corner sofa and out of his reach. He looked back to Matt and tried to decide whether he was deep enough asleep yet not to be woken if James moved slightly. Deciding after another ten minutes that he would be James tried to reach across, sliding slightly along the sofa. He couldn't so after another check to make sure Matt was still sleeping he tried to reach it again, leaning right over on his side but he then realised it was too far away for him to ever mange to get it without moving Matt, standing up and going across to fetch it. James looked back down at Matt and sighed, slightly annoyed that he couldn't get the TV remote. Looking at Matt's sleeping face though he couldn't stay annoyed about the TV remote. Matt looked so peaceful and childlike in his sleep, a vast contrast to the hyperactive often drunk Matt he'd been seeing most nights. James ran a hand through Matt's hair and smiled again, he knew he was going to get uncomfortable and bored with Matt asleep across him but he was willing to put up with it for one evening.

"We better do something more interesting tomorrow night." James muttered. James stuck to his decision of not moving Matt for all of two hours before he got so bored he was determined to get the TV remote. He looked at Matt one more time, wondering if he'd maybe be waking up so James could get up properly and do something but no such look. Matt was still peacefully sleeping. James then focused his attention back to the TV remote. He decided to try and move Matt's head off his lap, slide off the sofa, retrieve the remote then go back across to Matt, lift his head up and slide back into his place on the sofa. He tried to lift Matt's head up but as soon as he placed he hands around Matt's head Matt moved, turning his head into the touch of James' right hand. James sighed but didn't move at all until Matt had settled down again and then he tried to lift Matt's head up. As he did Matt moaned slightly so James placed his head back down into his lap, still not wanting to wake him.

Looking at the remote again he thought that if he stretched out enough, twisting so his chest was laid almost flat against the sofa that he might be able to reach it. He looked at Matt to see him now smiling in his sleep but still asleep. James set about moving and after five minutes of carefully moving and checking Matt was still asleep he found himself in the most uncomfortable position imaginable but the remote at his finger tips. He couldn't quite grasp it so he pushed himself forward slightly, cringing as he heard Matt mutter something. He quickly looked over his shoulder to see Matt was still asleep and sighed in relief before he looked back to the remote and grinned. He secured his fingers around it and slowly sat back up, keeping a firm grip on the remote. Once sat up straight again he looked at Matt to find his head extremely close to the edge of his knee, likely to fall off with any slight movement. James put the remote down beside them before moving Matt's head back to safety.

James then picked up the remote again and grinned triumphantly before he pointed it at the TV screen and pressed the little red button at the top of the remote. Nothing. No spark of life went into the TV, the screen didn't suddenly burst into colour, no noise erupted from it. It was turned off.

James groaned and slumped back, throwing the remote down again. All that, for nothing. He looked at Matt again and decided Matt was going to pay for this when he woke up before remembering that he probably wouldn't as James would forget and get caught up in something else.

And soon enough he had forgotten as he sat, his head tipped back against the seat, his hand woven into Matt's hair, fast asleep with Matt still asleep on his lap.
