Classic Film & Spankin New Digital The fundamentals of taking a photograph has not changed but the tools we use are changing quickly. I have a background in art. I learned to sketch, draw, & paint all of this left me frustrated that I could not make it look real ..so I studied photography. From the first time I pushed the button and heard that click of the shutter then developed my own film, I was hooked it came a obsession. I loved learning how to take a image then print it and make it perfect and sometimes stretch it beyond the limits to make it look really interesting.. After I thought I had it all mastered ...film, printing, lighting, posing & exposure time. It has all changed. The darkroom has moved to the desktop. I can have complete control of the creative process all from my finger tips. No longer do we shoot film, send it away and hope for the best. All that I have learned about photography and printing is coming together on the desktop, and it is changing with a click of the mouse. It is very exciting to be on the edge of this technology. Photographers are becoming pioneers on the virtual desktop. Equally enchanting is seeing what others are doing with this creative technology. It is like being on the edge of discovery everyday waiting to see what is around the bend or on the next page. It is wonderful to take my photography to the next level. It is still amazing to me that I can get paid to do what I absolutely Love. I cherish every second that I use to photograph someone's emotion and capture it on paper for infinity. Life is all about the teeny tiny moments. I m not sure who reads these biography about the artist but I know who will! I have to thank my mother and father for all my talent and enthusiasm. My parents are my inspiration and the wind beneath my wings. Kimberly O'Donnell Photography & Xtreme Art "Make me Smile"
