Today we explored our sense of touch. We reviewed our story prop book, �What�s in the Kitchen?�. We talked about what things the girl touched in the book. She touched some wax paper. We tried to guess how it might feel and then Kimberly gave us a piece of wax paper and we touched it. We talked about things that we like to touch like puppies and soft blankets. We sang a song called �I Can Touch�, (To the tune of �Oh, My Darling Clementine�). We talked about things we should not touch, like things that are hot or sharp. We made a book called My five Senses.� Topper the Toast Puppet visited and we played a fun game where we reached into a bag and felt what was inside, we tried to guess what we were feeling with our hands before we saw it. Your child should be bringing home Parent Note # 4. We did Calendar Time and Weather Bear.
