Kimberly's Day Care
Today we focused on squares. We used our Butterfly Color Display. The butterfly had brown squares on her wings today. We sang a song called, �I�m a Great Big Butterfly� (to the tune of �Mary had a Little Lamb�). We looked at the printed word �square� on a square shape. Topper Toast Puppet came and showed us a picture of cornbread. He said cornbread was a grain and grains help keep us healthy. For snack we had a square piece of cornbread. We laced a brown square lacing card. We danced around a square shape Kimberly taped on the floor. We did a shape recognition page and matched square shaped items. We read a book called, �Thanksgiving Day�. We worked with our Kitchen Math Manipulative. We put an orange pot on the square, three wooden spoons underneath the square, and a bowl next to the square. We did Calendar Time and Weather Bear.
