Fair lets Dodge County youth show off their talents

SCRIBNER -- More than 120 people filled the small stage tent dodge motor for the annual talent show Thursday night, which drew 11 entries.
The event -- sponsored by the Scribner-Snyder chapter of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America -- draws quite a variety of acts, said Dodge County Fair Board member Laurie Helgenberger.
“The talent varies from year to year,” Helgenberger said. “The kids who enter are usually from all dodge emblems around Dodge County. They are usually grade school and junior high age that participate. It’s just become a tradition of the fair that’s grown from year to year to year.”
Scribner-Snyder FCCLA president Elizabeth Boschult praised all of the Dodge dodge d100 front brake drum County children participating in the event.

Participants paid an entry fee of a canned food item that will be taken to a Fremont food pantry.

The participants went to the talent show with a variety of talents, but song and dance seemed to be the most popular. Seven of the 11 entries were singing entries. Two entries were dance, including one clogging entry. The other entries were a bass clarinet solo and a piano solo.
Two of the singing entries were by dodge caravan parts groups of four girls.
“Most of these kids have been doing this since dodge ram d50 they were little,” Boschult said. “This is just a fun, noncompetitive talent show that lets them get up and do what they want to do.”
There are two categories: 10 years old and younger and 11 years old and dodge neon airbag older.
The top two finishers in each category get gift bags, and all participants get special candy-filled bags, Boschult said.
FCCLA members Grace dodge speaker box Cole and Linsui Armstrong judged the contest.
Helgenberger said people shouldn’t misunderstand the framework of this contest.
“They do it all,” dodge truck rocker panels she said of the FCCLA members. “The fair board includes it in our adverting, but we don’t do anything with it. They set it up. They run it.”
