Meet The Provider

Hello, And Welcome... My name is Kimberly and my friends call me "Kimba." The family Childcare Services that I provide, are meant to help parents feel safe in knowing that their children will be in a safe and learning child-equipped home environment while they are at work. However, more importantly, I am here for the children.

My husband Bill, and our three children; The oldest son, Billy; daughter, Teri; and youngest son, Robbie, and myself, have lived in Eddystone for many years. I have been doing daycare for over 20 years. Of those years, over 15 years have been spent in my own home. I attended the Chester School District, and graduated as an Art Major with a 4 year scholarship to the Philadelphia Art Institute. In my sophomore year, I took Vo-Tech for child development and internship with a state daycare center. In my senior year, I was allowed to go to work as a work-study program. I chose to go to a Registered Daycare Group Home and I was hired as a helper, then within two years, I became an assistant to the owner of the same daycare home. I am trained in First Aid, CPR, Heart Defibrillator Portable Machine and I have also completed Delaware State Fire School. In the time I have done child care in my home, I have enjoyed many experiences, though I have finished my Diploma in Child Care Management. Every year, I take the required PA State "clock hours" of classes on child care related subjects. My past experiences give me more qualifications than any book ever could. Children are our best asset in life. I do consider the children in my care, as one of my own. I hope that some of this personal information will help you along the way for finding the right childcare for your families needs.

I am a childcare provider and I am committed to being the best childcare provider that I can be. I provide a safe and healthy daycare home environment by complying with all state and local Pennsylvania laws. I am very professional in the way I care for your children and run my business facility with the same professional wisdom, and I treat each child as the precious individual child that they are. Each and every one receives the very best care on a daily basis, and are treated as if they are part of my family. All the children that come and go through my childcare hold a very special place in my heart. Some of my qualifications are listed below:

- I graduated high school in 1982
- I am a mother of three
- I have been in a very stable marriage for over 20 years
- I have over 20 years experience with children of all ages
- I am certified in CPR, First Aid and Defibrillator Machines
- I am a trained Volunteer Firefighter
- I obtain yearly "clock hours" of training in childcare issues
- I have a diploma in Childcare Management
- I am currently pursuing my Associated Degree in Early Childhood Education ECE.

I went to work in a registered large group childcare home. For five years there, I performed the duties of the owner's assistant. I then branched out on my own in May of 1988, starting with baby-sitting and gradually increasing to a business of my own in 1993. This decision was brought about by the birth of my second child. I have been in business ever since and am still going strong, never once wishing to change my chosen career. My clients come from word-of-mouth by the employees of Boeing/Douglas Company in Ridley Township, Pennsylvania.

Bill and I have been married for over 20 years and we celebrate our anniversary on August 28th. We have lived in Eddystone for a long time, and we are both volunteer firefighters for Station 12 (Ridley). Bill has over 25 years experience and I have three. Though I am still what they call a rookie, I passed fire school. We are the proud parents of three wonderful children. Our oldest son, Billy, has graduated high school and attends Villanova University as a full time student. Our daughter Teri has graduated High School and attends Villanova University. Our youngest son, Robbie, is attending middle school. He loves karate (Ti Khan Do) and has achieved 5 belts so far. All the daycare children love our kids, and our children have been born and raised in my childcare setting. With the tremendous love and support of my family, I have been granted the opportunity to give back to the community for many years in childcare services that I hold dear to my heart. I take pride in what I do. "My job is me, and I am my job."

My husband Bill has been my rock when it has come to family and business. If it weren't for the support of my husband and children I truly would have not been in Daycare as long as I have been. It is because of my family that I have continued to be the best Provider with my Childcare business I can be. All of our children were born and raised in my childcare environment home business.

We have a male boxer by the name of Rocky. Rocky graduated obedience training school when he was 6 months old, and is very gentle. Our children also have a cat. Peanut Bridal is a short-haired female. We cannot forget our old dog Oreo who we had for 15 years for our children grew up with and she was very much part of our family and my Daycare.
