Welcome! "Deep Peace of the Quiet Earth to You"... Always |
|

|
Hello and Welcome... We would like to welcome you to our adoption page. We are looking forward to getting to know you and letting you get to know us a little bit, too! We can only imagine what a difficult time in your life this must be for you. We hope that we can make things easier, safer, and set your mind at ease as you make a potential adoption plan for your beloved child. We are praying for a caucasian infant daughter to join our family and bless our lives with joy. We are committed to enjoying an open adoption with you, to whatever degree you feel comfortable with. We realize that things change as life goes on and we will strive to always do our best when it comes to keeping in touch as the years pass. We feel very strongly that our child should know her birthmother (parents), because you will always be a part of their life. We also want you to know how blessed we feel to have you in our lives. Without your courageous decision to place your child with us, we wouldn't be the blessed family that has been created through the miracle of adoption. |

About us... We are Kim & Brian Youngquest and we live in Michigan. We have one biological son, Tyler, who is 12 yrs. old. Brian and I met on a blind date in Sept. of 1986, and we have been together ever since! We married in August of 1987 and our honeymoon baby was born (8 weeks early) in April of 1988. We are truly devoted to each other and to our family. We have always wanted a large family, but decided to wait to pursue adoption until we felt financially and emotionally ready. That time has come and we atre excitedly anticipating the joy of another precious child to love! |

About Kim... Kim is my best friend, my companion throughout life, and my soul mate. We have been together for 14 years and they have been the best I've ever known! She is a warm, funny, compassionate, devoted wife and mother. Family comes first in her life, and not just Tyler and me. She is one of 6 kids in her family and they are very tight-knit. I have had the honor of becoming part of her family and to realize the incredible love they all share for one another. Kim loves to swim, read, go to the movies, bike ride, walk, shop and buy jewelry! She also takes care of our 2 dogs and delights in their total devotion to her! She loves people and especially taking care of them! She is a Registered Nurse and works in a Convalescent Center right now 5 minutes from our home. She works afternoons so she can be home with our son before school and I can be there when he gets home. She is wonderful with the elderly people she takes care of--empathy for their situation is very strong in her. She has always wanted more children and now we are finally ready to make our dream of a larger family happen! |

About Brian... Brian is the best man I have ever had the privilege to know in my life. He is kind, caring, compassionate, devoted, funny, hardworking, and totally loveable! He is totally commited to his family first, and he truly is a remarkable father. He plays soccer, coaches our son's community basketball league, builds boats in our garage, rides bikes, sails, and loves to go hiking in the woods with Tyler. He works in the computer industry as an Information Analyst and is always trying to improve himself and learn new things in his field. Seeing him with our son is one of my greatest pleasures in life--his love knows no bounds and this will hold true for any and all children we have the privilige to raise. |

About Tyler... Tyler is 12 yrs old and in the 7th grade. He enjoys basketball, reading, movies with mom, video games, riding his bike and scooter all around the neighborhood, and rollerblading and skateboarding at our neighborhood park. He is a funny, compassionate, sensitive soul--who loves animals and other kids. He asks us almost daily, "did anyone call with our baby yet?" He is so anxious to become a big brother, he has had us all to himself for 12 yrs and he is ready to share his life with a little sister . He likes to climb the tree in our fenced in backyard and run around and wrestle with his dogs! He does very well in school despite having been diagnosed with ADD 2 yrs ago. He just brought home his latest report card--all A's and B's--he worked so hard for this and was so proud of himself! We have tried to instill a strong belief in himself, a sense of respect for others, compassion, and joy of life as we raise him to adulthood. We are very proud of him, and find that he is becoming a wonderful young man. |

About our Faith... We have a strong belief in God as the guiding force in our lives. Although we do not attend church on a regular basis, we do believe strongly in Faith, Miracles, and the awesome Power of Prayer. We also believe that God has the power to deliver this adoption and we are praying daily for guidance during this time; not only for our family, but for yours as well. |
