The people of Ireland are wonderful, and the land is beautiful. It held special meaning to stand on the spot my ancestors came from-- I think something we Americans lack, sometimes, is a sense of history, family, and perspective.

Well, it's said that kissing the Blarney Stone-- which is rumored to be part of the "Stone of Scone" (seat of the ancient kings)-- bestows eloquence upon you. This apparently dates from a Lord of Blarney successfully delaying the Queen of England's demands for allegiance. In any case, here I am, getting ready to kiss the Blarney Stone...
