PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE It is that time of the year when our association, The Philippine-American Society of Austin, honors its members at an informal, free Dinner-Dance affair. This night belongs to, and is intended for, all current members to have fun and enjoy fellowship with co-members and their families. Earlier in the year we had campaigned for membership through our first general meeting of the year. We have showcased our association and its objectives to the Filipino community here in Austin, in so many ways and efforts. They had to make their choices. Those that have not joined us are still and are always welcome. This coming up Membership Night is absolutely not a night for recruiting members. It is a night for celebrating our association's accomplishments, our members' efforts in the various activities we have worked so hard for, and for clinging together, helping each other, and having fun through the year. To non-members and non-current members, we certainly would like you to celebrate this special night with us, as active members of PASA, and not as probable recruits or hopeful renewals. It is a choice you can or have to make. I hope you make the right one. Sincerely, Jimmy Boado
