The Child Sits in School

The child sits in school
She doesnt bother anyone.
She dreams about spying.
She thinks about flying.
She wonders how it feels to be a bird.

The child sits in school
She doesnt bother anyone.
Shes lost in her zone.
But she feels all alone.
To think she knows whats happening is absurd.

The child sits in school
She doesnt bother anyone.
She hears the bell.
And says farewell.
All day long she didnt hear a word.

The teacher sits in school
She thinks about the child.
Shes very very bright,
But her brain is out in flight.
That child, shes just way behind in school.

The teacher sits in school
She thinks about the child.
Shes not like all the rest.
Dont the parents do their best?
Some discipline will make her follow the rules.

The mother sits in school.
She worries about her child.
Cant you give her a hand?
And help her understand?
There are just too many others in this school.

The mother sits in school.
Her sorrow overwhelming.
We dont want medication
Because of overpopulation.
She always manages to pass the test.

The teacher sits in school.
She talks about the child.
She needs to pay attention.
Oh and also I should mention,
She needs to fit the mold like all the rest.

The mother sits in school.
Her anger overwhelming.
Shes not vegetative,
Its a gift that shes creative!
Its this atmosphere I really must protest.

The child sits in school.
She doesnt bother anyone.
They think that I am bad
Because of daydreams that I had.
School is now a thing that I detest
