Can you please include the following notes in the club notes
section for the Kilteely/Dromkeen GAA club;
"It was a better result for the Junior B football team on Sunday
night with a win over Oola after the draw with Knockane on the
previous saturday. We started off badly only managing a point
before half time after many squandered chances. The 2nd half was
a different game, from the very start our center field and our
forwards fought a lot harder to keep possession of the ball. Some
positional switches during the second half made a big difference,
swapping Joe Hanley and Liam O'Dea from full forward to centre forward
opened up the game. The introduction of John Prendergast to full forward
was the winning of the game as he was our main scorer converting frees
and attaining that vital goal which out Oola under severe pressure.
The
backs held their own through out the game with great displays from
Tom
Jones who dominated at center back. Gerry Prendergast pulled off a
vital
save in the closing stages of the game which ended up in a score of
Kilteely/Dromkeen 1-6 Oola 0-5. The team lined out as follows, G. Prendergast,
E. O'Dea, B. Ryan, E. English, G. O'Dea, T. Jones, R. English, N. O'Dea,
J. Hennessey, K. Murphy, L. O'Dea, T. Hennessey, Freddie, J. Hanley,
M. Murphy.
