Hi,

Please include the following notes in the club notes section of the
Limerick Leader for the Kilteely/Dromkeen GAA club,

"Ater a long spate of defeats the tide turned on Sunday with a one point
win over Fedamore in the Junior B east league, obtaining a place in the
league final against Oola. The game on Sunday was an exciting affair with
both sides providing the entertainment in what was a clean game with very
few bad tackles. Playing with the wind in the first half we were three points
up and looking good. Fedamore managed to claw their way back into the game
well into the second half obtaing a goal from a penalty and slotting over
a couple of points to gain a one point advantage in the closing minutes of
the game. We stuck to our task and managed to get even after John Prendergast
pointed a free from 30 yards out followed by another form the 21. All in
all it was a good victory to secure the place in the final, though a lot
of work needs to be done to claim the title. There will be training every
Wednesday night at 7:30 in the field and we need a large turnout to maintain
the momentum in the coming weeks as we start into the Junior A leagues in
May and we are also competing in the east Senior football championship on
Saturday night against Oola at 7pm in Pallas.

The junior hurling starts off with the first game in the junior B league
fixed for Sunday v's Knockane in Knockane at 7:30 though this might
be refixed by the east board.

It was a bad start for our minor teams loosing both hurling and football
games to a good Kildimo side in the last two weeks. We have two minor games
left before the break for the exams when we take on Murroe in minor hurling
this Friday night in Caherconlish at 7:30 and Cappamore in minor football
on Friday week in Kilteely at 7:30.

Our U-12 footballers got off to a good start in the U-12 9 a side football
competition with a win over Ballybricken though we were not
strong enough to handle the challange of Ahane, we have a good
if we beat caherconlish on Monday night
in Kilteely at 7pm. There will be trainig on as usual at 11:00am on Saturday
morning in the field. The hurling competition starts up on the Monday of
the bank holiday weekend when we take on Caherline in Cappamore at 5:30pm.
There is also U-16 training on Sunday at 12:00.

The membership closing date has been extended to next weekend.
