Hi,

Please include the following notices in the club notes section
of the county edition of the Limerick leader for the Kilteely/
Dromkeen GAA club.

"Eibhear O'Dea was elected chairman at an EGM held last Thursday night.
Eibhear is a very committed and capable person, one of his many ambitions
is to see at least one major Junior championship title returned to the club
this year.

Dan Murphy had to step down due to unforseen circumstances. Dan
has contributed greatly to the club being involved as a player he wore
the red and white with great pride and played with great passion, and
his name is well known through out the county. As a mentor he was involved
with the county champions of 1972 and many other football and hurling teams
over the decades. Last year he was mostly involved with the junior hurlers and
we hope that he will have the freedom in the summer to follow through this year.
As a club offical Dan has served the club loyally and diligently. He has taken
on many positions in his time most recently as chairman of the club. The club
would like to thank Dan for all his work and effort in the past and we wish
him the all the best in the future.

Closing date for membership is March 21st, adult members £10, Pensioners,Students
and minors £5 payable to the treasurer John O'Dea.

Our U-14 footballer encountered a huge first round match against Ballybricken last
Sunday week. Ballybricken were by far the stronger side and beat our lads
convincingly. As it was our first game of the season we will improve and may
get a chance to get one back on Ballybricken.

This years Juvenille training will commence this saturday at 3pm, all players from
U-16 down are requested to attend. As there are extra teams this year we will require
more selectors and help especially from the parents of the players. Anyone interested
please contact a club official every little helps.

Junior/U-21 training will commence this Friday night at 7:30 in the field, all
players are to attend, the concentration will be on physicial fitness.

Our junior football season got off to a good start with a victory over Caherconlaois
last sunday week in wet conditions in the Novice league. We had a strong side out
and plenty of strength on the sideline with the return of some players. The
game ended in a score of 4-4 to 1-5. There is a great panel of playes there for
a good year in both junior A and junior B football this year, and I hope we see
at least one title at the end of the year."

Last Sunday the Junior B footballer added another victory to thier list beating Pallas
in a score of Kilteely/Dromkeen 1-4  Pallas 0-6. Two victorys and a walk over sees up
playing Olla at a date yet to be arranged.

Congragulations to our first county champions of 2000 as our senior SCOR novelty act
won the county competition in Cappamore last Sunday night.

As part of the Mellilimium weekend there will be a football game between
the 1989 county chanpions and the present junior team to comerate the
occasion. The game will take place on St Patricks weekend day and time
dependant on fixtures."

Regards,
Eoin.
