Worth Dying For
Another of my favorites, one I feel was truly inspired. Not only does this explain a lot about my own goals, but it also shows that often it is the journey we get the most from, not reaching the goal.
She asked if I'd be there
To help her find the door
I said I'd do my best
We'd been through worse before
We don't know what awaits there
Behind that hidden door
We don't know where it is
But it's sure worth dying for
The door is hidden well
But those who search may find
The treasure only dreamers
Can hope to find behind
If we could only find it
We couldn't ask for more
For nothing could be better
Than the things worth dying for
For years we searched together
We found our way at last
But the door was locked up tight
We couldn't make it past
We looked deep in our hearts
And found undying love
A gift that only comes
From somewhere up above
True love for one another
Was the key that fit the door
We made it through together
The love was worth dying for
