A Simple Prayer
I wrote this one in Church to be read in a talk I had to give that day.
The day was long
My life was hard
My hopes and dreams
They seemed so far
No peace inside
A heavy heart
No will to try
Not even start
With so much stress
And all these fears
I needed God
To help me here
I begged for help
Upon my knees
Sincere with fervent
Heartfelt pleas
And my day went on
Without a care
Because I said
A simple prayer
