Making Angels
Let me just say that I have one of the greatest mothers in the world. :) When she isn't working, she does a lot of crafts. She makes these angels from yarn, lace, doll hair and starch that are just beutiful. They are a lot of work, and she made many of them for the table center pieces at my wedding, so I wrote this poem for her.
Fast and faster her hands fly
Swift the string goes rushing by
Hair of gold and gown of white
Wings and halo glowing bright
Patterns held within her mind
Leaving all the guides behind
Angels she has made so fair
Each one formed with love and care
Effort spent to make them shine
Brought to life with skill so fine
Angels tall and angels thin
Angels short and in between
But the best of them is yet to see...
The angel she has made in me
