Please be patient as this downloads. It's over 350k because I loaded it into Paint Shop Pro and messed with it. The background is a garden in Japan, by the way. Kudos to Dani for letting me yoink all her Japan photos. *grin*
So these are the siblings. First, a word on my artwork: IT SUCKS. I freely admit that I cannot draw to save my life. I'm thankful I've got to the point where they're recognizeable as humans. Things I don't like about this picture: Brishen's feet have disappeared, Tobbar's waist is somewhere above his belly-button, and Durriken turned out looking like a modern day teenager who stumbled onto this photo shoot. Durriken's outfit isn't quite right but I have not the skills to draw it otherwise, so he's stuck looking like that. But I do like how his face and hair turned out.
By the way, if you haven't gone to read the profiles, Sapphire is the girl sitting in the corner, Durriken is the boy sitting next to her, Brishen is the one in the middle with curly hair, Tobbar is the one in the dark red shirt, and Ronek is the last one (he's the one not smiling).
First, for those curious, some listings are as follows. These all go in decreasing order.
Age: Ronek (let's pretend he's 22 here), Brishen (20), Tobbar (19), Durriken (17), Sapphire (14).
Height: Ronek (5'9), Tobbar (5'8), Brishen (5'6), Durriken (5'4), Sapphire (5'3).
Coloring: Tobbar, Ronek, Sapphire, Durriken, Brishen.
The siblings are the offspring of Mirabella and Galen. Mirabella is the offspring of Sapphire (first generation, obviously) and Ronek (also first generation, also obviously). Galen is the son of Aspen and her husband (I need to research his name). The siblings have one cousin, Kasaiya. Kasaiya is the offspring of Lark and Galen's sister (whose name I have to research as well). Lark is the offspring of Trinity and Kistur.
Mirabella's parents were Sapphire and Ronek. Sapphire was half gadje, with strange toned lighter skin, curly brown hair, and blue eyes. She was also very short at five feet tall and twiggy in build. Ronek was a full blooded Romani: tall, dark-skinned, dark-eyed, and had straight black shaggy hair. He was built with broad shoulders and a thick sort of build - mostly muscle.
Galen's parents were Aspen and her husband. Aspen's husband was a full-blooded Romani: of average height, dark eyes, black hair, a bit pudgy in build. Aspen was a gadje, with long straight blonde hair, gray eyes, and a pixie-ish build.
Mirabella had a dark skin tone, though not as dark as most of the Romani. She had Sapphire's blue eyes and curly hair, though hers is a dark brown, nearly black color. Mirabella was also fairly short at about 5'3 and had the twiggy build of her mother. Galen inherited his mother's fairer skin and lighter hair, his father's pudgy build and green eyes.
There, now you know why they look they way they do. I know they all look vastly different but that's all due to their varied bloodline.
The siblings are probably my favorite set of characters to write about, though Tani and Tasia are favorites as well. Their personalities are all so different and there's ample opportunity to create strife between them, especially considering Ronek's sour attitude and Tobbar's constant infidelities.
