Name: Lynx. Sapphire calls him Kiddo and Squirt.
Sex: Male.
Age: Nearly seven years younger than Sapphire, so around 12 or 13.
Appearance: Just hitting puberty -- 5�5" but still growing, skinny but filling out slowly, shaggy black hair, slightly darkened skin, brown eyes, dresses in drab colors, wears a gray band around his head to keep his hair out of his face.
Education: Next to nothing, since he is lower than peasant class. His mother attempted to teach him how to read and write, but he didn�t learn very well.
Occupation: Tried thievery, which Sapphire didn�t like, so he apprenticed himself out to a potter and sells his wares on the street.
Ethnicity: Half Romani (this is how the gypsies refer to themselves) and half French. His father was full Romani, his mother was of the French middle-class.
Marital status: Has a girlfriend, Zephyr, but because he is so young it is not that serious.
Children: Um, no.
Significant relationships: His best friend is Carlisle. He is also extremely close to his older sister since she is nearly all the family he has left. Parents deceased (see Sapphire's profile for more information). Has an aunt, his father's sister, named Etana, but they are not close.
Obsessions: To return to his birthplace in Calais, to learn about his parents.
Beliefs: None, really, but he does believe quite strongly in ghosts and the presence of the deceased in everyday life. It goes back to his desperate need to have a link to his parents, whom he does not remember.
Sexual history: Heck no! Maybe he�s kissed Zephyr once or twice, but that�s it.
Religion: None. Not an atheist, but rather he is too busy thinking about basic survival to wonder about his religion.
Fears: Being left alone, pain, hunger, cold.
Habits: Cracking his joints, daily walks with his wolf, late-riser.
Personality flaws: Money-mad, stubborn, knows just how to make Sapphire mad and does it whenever he wants something.
Personality strengths: Supportive of Sapphire, sympathetic, cheerful attitude.
Favorite possession: His father�s wedding ring, which he wears on a chain around his neck. His parents had identical silver and turquoise rings. His mother�s belongs to Sapphire, who also wears hers on a chain.
Where does this character live: Paris, but the siblings moved constantly in the past.
What does this character want: Stability, family, and comfort.
Why does this character want this: He has never been in more than one place for longer than a year since he was four years old. Sapphire felt the need to move him around in case the people who murdered their parents decided to track them down as well.
What happens as a results of this desire: He begs his sister to allow him to return to Calais, where he discovers family he had forgotten even existed.
Additional notes: I just love the males in Sapphire's family. Lynx is my all-time favorite male character in this universe, followed closely by Tobbar, Sapphire's grandson. I really, REALLY hated killing Lynx off. *sigh*
