Name: Durriken, a gypsy name meaning "soothsayer" or "prophet."

Sex: Male.

Age: Three years older than Sapphire, so between 17 and 19. He is the fourth of the five siblings.

Appearance: Ash-brown hair kept in a long, straight ponytail down his back. Gray eyes. Dresses in drab clothing - grays and beiges. Very short for a man in their kumpania at about 5'4. His skin is far lighter than most of the Romani but a little too dark to be mistaken for one of the gadje. He's also a bit pudgy. ^^;

Education: Mirabella taught him fortune-telling and how to interpret visions and dreams. He can write and read well enough to be roughly literate.

Occupation: Fortune-teller, seer, for both the kumpania and for money.

Ethnicity: His mother is 1/4 gadje, his father 1/2. He is therefore of mixed blood.

Marital status: Probably does not get married in this arc, but he does have a longtime girlfriend he eventually marries.

Children: He might have a few later in life.

Significant relationships: His brothers and sister. He was his mother's favorite son, hence why she taught him her profession. He also meets his future wife in this arc (her name isn't important).

Obsessions: Anything related to fortune-telling. He takes his profession very seriously.

Beliefs: Fate and destiny must be answered to, but can also be altered. We choose and follow our own paths.

Sexual history: Has relations with only one woman throughout his life.

Religion: None, really -- he answers to his visions only.

Fears: Great change, chaos, discord.

Habits: Keeps very quiet at all times, staring off into space.

Personality flaws: A huge worrywart, a bit of a whiner when things go wrong.

Personality strengths: Strong sense of self, strong sense of right and wrong, great love of family and friends.

Favorite possession: Mira's crystal ball and other fortune-telling paraphernalia.

Where does this character live: Paris

What does this character want: Stability, peace.

Why does this character want this: His visions sometimes disturb him and he wishes things would stay the same.

What happens as a results of this desire: He simply devotes himself to his work.

Additional notes: Quite frankly, Durriken is probably my least favorite of the siblings. He doesn't interest me at all. He also gets into a lot of trouble with his siblings when he goes into, "I told you so" mode. Rar.
