Name: Delphina. As a child she was sometimes referred to as Delphi ("DELL-fee" - it isn't pronounced like the Greek oracle).

Sex: Female

Age: Around 14 or 15. I'm thinking 15.

Appearance: Slightly wavy black hair, with several scarves tied in for effect. Inherited her father's sea-green eyes and her mother's twiggy build. Dresses in floaty materials in pastel purples, pinks, blues, and greens. Wears slippers on her feet and all sorts of silver jewelry. Has several piercings in each ear.

Education: Can read and write and does not hide these talents. This makes her an outcast of sorts among the kumpania but as a solitary sort of creature, she doesn't really mind.

Occupation: Poet and philosopher. Recites poetry and incites discussions in the streets. As you can probably imagine, she doesn't make much money.

Ethnicity: Full-blooded Romani.

Marital status: Single.

Children: None.

Significant relationships: None, really. She's a solitary sort of thinker or dreamer. If anything, she's friendliest with Sapphire's nicer brothers, Durriken and Brishen, and with her cousin Isolde.

Obsessions: Beautiful words.

Beliefs: That the right words, said at the right time, can make the world a better place.

Sexual history: Probably loses her virginity at 16, most likely to another poetic sort. Not sure what goes on from there.

Religion: None.

Fears: Death, horror.

Habits: Playing with her scarves.

Personality flaws: Absolutely no sense of humor whatsoever.

Personality strengths: Calming, brilliant.

Favorite possession: Her journals and inks.

Where does this character live: Paris

What does this character want: To be able to reflect, daydream, and write.

Why does this character want this: It is in her nature.

What happens as a results of this desire: She becomes a loner, but gets paid for doing what she loves.

Additional notes: Delphina is the only one of Kalinda's four granddchildren who inherits her sea-green eyes. Two of Delphina's cousins are Jamal and Kambria, though they are not at all close. Her other cousin is Isolde, with whom she is at least on friendly, if not familial, terms.
