Name: Brishen, a gypsy name meaning "storm baby" or "child who brought the rain."
Sex: Male
Age: Six years older than Sapphire, so between 20 and 22. The second of the five siblings.
Appearance: Ash blonde-brown hair, slightly curly, kept in a ponytail that goes midway down his back. Blue eyes like Sapphire. He's the lightest-skinned of the siblings and could easily be mistaken for a gadje. Short for a man in the kumpania at about 5'6. He's built a bit thicker than most of the siblings - not overweight, just broader and stronger. He dresses in blues and grays, like the rain and the storm he is named for.
Education: His father Galen taught him how to read and write, and he's quite a scholar when he wants to be.
Occupation: Plays mandolin in the streets for coins. He also has a lovely singing voice.
Ethnicity: His mother is 1/4 gadje, his father 1/2. He is therefore of mixed blood.
Marital status: Marries a woman in the kumpania when he's about 18 (her name isn't important). Had a few serious girlfriends in the past.
Children: Probably has about two or three with his wife. Again, their names are not important to this arc.
Significant relationships: His wife, his parents (though he was closer to Galen than to Mira), and his siblings (though he is closest to Durriken and Sapphire).
Obsessions: Reading and writing, which is considered odd among the members of the kumpania.
Beliefs: That knowledge is the source of power and enlightenment.
Sexual history: Probably had relations with one or two girlfriends before he married his wife.
Religion: None.
Fears: The pain and suffering of those he loves.
Habits: Cracking his joints, humming to himself.
Personality flaws: Very much a follower rather than a leader, and is loathe to take on great responsibilities all by himself.
Personality strengths: Devoted, loving, and really sweet.

Why does this character want this: It's just in his nature. He loves people and he wants people to love him back.

Additional notes: Brishen is such a sweetie. If Tobbar wasn't such a vain loveable bastard, I'd probably love Brishen the best. Oh, Brishen is also the first male to inherit Base Sapphire's blue eyes. Whee.
