Subject :  I don't speak French very well but....

Hello there again,

Not long till i'm home now kiddies!

Only three weeks left in Paris. I'm sure there is more stuff that I probably should see before I go, but i'll be blown if i can think of what! Oh well, two more weekends and trusy old Paris guidebook, i'll be right!

It's Monday again and back to work, obviously. The weather seems to have settled down, but only after freezing my jigglies off last week. Thankfully I had Mr David 'Smiley' Murray staying at my place so I had someone to whinge at and to say 'oooh look at the snow' to. It was nice.

Another thing that I found strangely soothing was, upon my arrival into Manchester Airport last friday, the usually highly nerve-grating Mancunian accent. I was so grateful to hear people speaking English that I stood for about 5 minutes just talking random crap to the guy checking passports (i'm sure he was thrilled).
Also.... i still only have 2 stamps in my passport! and they are both from Dublin! What a crock! If only i wasn't so zombiefied as i walk through airports, i might have the nut to ask for a stamp.

I went out in Preston last Saturday and it was soo incredibly cold.... much colder than before christmas...; but it seems that the girls wear less, the colder it gets! (unless they go out naked in Summer? ... i dont know, but i'm not sticking around to find out!)

As i mentioned before, Smiley came and visited me during the week just gone (i had to hold his hand on the plane... awww... tee hee)... it was awesome having someone to talk at and to laugh with when we did silly things that could be avoided with a better knowledge of the french language.... but i felt very proud forcing the boy from Preston to eat cheese and drink wine (although i'm kinda sad that we couldn't go out to eat or drink anywhere... i'm just too petrified of talking to people and getting strange looks)

Anyway, i hope he had a good time in Paris.

Not really much to say at the moment. This morning has just flown by! It's almost lunch time. woo hoo!

I will say though.... I shall be back in England from the 30th of March to the 7th of April, so if you are anywhere near Preston, York or London, then let me know. I will be arranging my 'Last English Boozefest' tour in the coming weeks.

So far the dates are:
Preston - March 30 to April 3
York - April 4 (or possibly Liverpool depending on whether i choose to seer the Doves or not)
London - April 6
Sydney/Newcastle - April 9 (although i am yet to perfect the art of sleep-drinking)

oh well
best be off!
