snowing!
Best thing in the world ever! Sally walking to work in the snow (minus the part where she almost fell over every five steps)
my brain has fully gone to sleep.. probably because I am meant to be working... i'm usually quite good at procrastinating, but today my brain wont even let me do that!
mostly because i am trying to analyse results that really dont seem to make much sense. OH well...
well what have i been doing otherwise?
spent a romantic weekend in Bruges with Beck. She was hungover... which probably wasn't much fun for her, but i was just happy having someone to speak english to while i drank yummy Belgian beer and ate yummy Belgian waffles. However, the next day, Beck was like some crazed food machine as we whizzed from chocolate shop to chocolate shop via various deli's, snow globe shops and breweries. I liked Bruges, nice and small, easy one sally's little legs.
ooh ooh, we also stayed in the most odd B&B in the world. The b&b itself wasn't odd as such (except for the extreme excess of sinks), moreso the people who ran it... yeah, they did speak like robots (but in english, so that was a bonus), but there was something a little wrong that we couldnt put our finger on....
on the way back, i thought i'd have a look in Brussels for a bit (i had an hour to kill, why not?)... and plus it was snowing, and the rule of snow is that you have to stand in it for at least five minutes or until your extremities go numb... well i'm not sure what the rest of Brussels is like, but i think i must have wandered into the most seedy street in the city! I first had some random muttering at me... then i made the mistake of smiling at another guy as i walked past him and he ran after me and hassled me for my phone number! grr!
scared the crapolas out of me really... so i went back into the station and sat in what i assume was the middle of a scout pack.. and waited for my train.
i told you i was a magnet for weirdos!
and oh yeah.... it sure did happen again this weekend just gone! grrr! I was having a nosey at that Sacr� coeur churchy thingo... and yes, i got acosted by another random... this one i was sure just wanted cash out of me, but he insisted on walking through the church with me and then trying to force his phone number onto me so that we could go to a "disco" together.
(It was commented upon that i am "a bit negative" with my emails so here's to good part of my experience) - The chucrch was very loverly inside, the nuns were having a bit of a sing-song on the stage.. very nice... although it does seem a bit blasphemous to have a church as a tourist attraction with hundreds of people filing in and out all day.
Sadly i didnt get to have more of a looky around Montmartre because i had to tell this guy that i had to rush off to meet a 'friend'... oh well... but i did wander past the Moulin Rouge... not anything like i expected... although i assume at night (like in all the pictures i've seen) you dont see the filthy seediness of the area around it... you just see the pretty lights.
ummm... after that, i went to Versaille... no one harassed me there and i bought a snow globe... all-in-all a very succesful journey.
But not without being caught by one of those guys who tried to draw your picture.... he drew a "sexy" picture of me and then tried to charge my 10 euros for it! (he said he normally charged 30)... hahahaha.... anyone who has spent more than 5 minutes with me will probably know how tight i am with money... and i figured that if i didnt buy it, he would just chuck it.... so i gave him 1.50... heheheheh i win!
that's about it really.... going back to Preston for the weekend and then dragging Smiley back to keep me company for a week... should be fun... boy is he going to be hearing me talk loads of crap! I miss being able to ramble on about nothing important and people not just ignoring me.

oh well, back to the report!
