Peggy- If a cod was really suffering and I had to put it out of its misery, I would ah... it depends what I had on hand, but the lethal injection is obviously the best option. But once I had to kill a mouse because my cat had already half killed it, and the only way I could kill it was to wrap it up in newspaper and smash it with a brick.
