I'm going to be honest. A few seconds into this recording, i thought to myself " This music is pretty catchy and cool but i bet the singer will kick in with some gay vocals and ruin it." Damn, i was fucking wrong!!! As soon as the vocals kicked in, i began to headbang. Semper Tyrannis, from Rutherford, New Jersey, are not your typical metal band. They play an outstanding mix of Death Metal, Black Metal, Doom, thrash and Metal. The recording quality is top-notch on this E.P, and the musicianship is very tight, making for a great listen. Fans of Opeth, At The Gates, Death, Morbid Angel and Sodom should really enjoy "Casting Dark In Morning Light." Can we expect a full-length album from Semper Tyrannis anytime soon?
