1. How and when did Morbid Butcher start?
We started in early 2000. We were all friends before starting the band, and we all listen to the same shit, so we decided to start a band of our own and here we are.
2. How would you describe Morbid Butcher's sound?
Fuckin' ferocious grinding death metal. We may not be the best fucking technical musicians on the planet, but we keep it nice and brutal the way it should be.
3. How would you describe your live show?
Brutal, intense, crazy! The fans go fucking nuts at our shows and i love it!
4. Who are your biggest influences?
Mortician, Prong, Fleshgrind, Macabre, Skinless, Dying Fetus. There are far too many to name.
5. Can you tell me a bit about each Morbid Butcher album?
"Waste Of Skin" was our first demo, which we released in summer of 2001. It's a piece of shit recording that does the band no justice at all. Never listen to that demo if you own a copy! In late 2002, we released our debut full-length "Butcher Shop Horror," which we are very pleased with. The production is amazing. We feel that this album is the best representation of our band.
6. I thought you had more releases than that.
No sir, not at the moment. We plan on recording a new full-length this summer though.
7. ?How would you compare the metal scene in Watseka,Illinois to the rest of the country?
HAHAHA fuck man! Watseka has no scene, seriously. We are the only band of any genre in this town and the only places to play are at parties. We go up to Chicago and play alot.
8. What are your favorite bands to play with live?
Hmmm, i don't know really. I guess any fucking band that will allow us to play shows with them. We can be quite intimidating, so alot of bands don't like playing with us because our outrageous stage show tends to take the fucking spotlight away from other bands. It's not our fault you fuckers are lame! Just kidding. We love playing shows with anyone we can get booked with.
9. Where do you see Morbid Butcher in 5 years?
Playing in a fucking garage, still having no website or other technology that would help us gain a fan base. We suck and we know it, so we're not planning on being big stars.
