| I think i have well-humbled any EK4 owners with this beast. It is my TC-160 powered MRC Thunder King, dubbed BIG-K. The engine is 16cc and produces way more torque then this simple 2WD chassis could ever use. It is pictured next to a Monster pirate, for size comparison. It is just as wide, longer and a little higher. The gearing is way to low, it tops out at about 13mph. But the custom clutch has a unique property, it engages at about 1/3 throttle, making the engagement point well into the peak of the power. so peg the gas and it will: A) flip over(lots of traction) B) send dirt/mulch/mud flying 5 or 6 feet C) rip the tires loose from the wheels because glue just cant hold em. D) break E) injure someone Update! The slipper clutch couldnt really take the torque and weight, so i bolted it together after it slipped for 10 mins straight. then the thorp ball diff let loose and im still trying to work that out. i am soon going to figure out a way to put clod or Monster pirate wheels/tires on to give it a bit more top speed, and i also think i found way to raise the gearing a little. a custom chassis is also in the developing stages. any suggestions would help. Future plans: proline 40 or jumbomax rims, maximizer 14mm hex adapters for stampede, Lower gas tank, single high torque steering servo, disk brake, aluminum shock towers and servo mounts, torsen diff |
