Coming Soon:
The WSJB 2002-2004 Memorial Page
The title is kind of a work in progress.
Hi all... Jeff Lagasse here, better known as "The Gassman," from WSJB's illustrious past. I was the webmaster of this site while it was up and running, but it seems as though the new Killer B head honcho, Nick Peterson, won't be interested in updating it. And I can't blame him, really. This site was always a testament to a certain era in WSJB history. It was an era that Nick was a part of, but the era of The Gassman and Detroit as Station Managers is, alas, a chapter that is now over. Although I'd love to come visit the station again. It's been only a few short months, but I miss it.
And that is why I'll be renovating this site in upcoming days and weeks. The basic format will stay the same: I'll keep the photos (and add the ones that are missing), the forums will stay (along with all the old messages), and I may even add a section or two. But instead of being a current site, it will be dedicated to a time in my life that is very dear to me: from 2002 to 2004, when I lived and breathed WSJB.
I'm a sucker for nostalgia.
If all goes well, the new version of the site will be up sometime in January. If anyone has any ideas, e-mail me at [email protected] and I'll see what I can do. I'd like this to be a scrapbook of sorts -- forever freezing a moment in time when radio ruled all.
A tip to current DJs: treasure your time here. It'll all be over way too soon.
Cheers, and here's to a great spring semester.
