Love the look, but don’t have the cash? No problem, just be
creative and shop at dollar stores for accessories and thrift stores for
anything you can imagine! Here are some great items you can use to spruce up the
old and boring! There are no prices marked, because I count on you to be
creative and find similar products that you like for low costs! (Click for

Neon hair clips are oh so cute, and
very affordable! They can be purchased at Wal-Mart, Zellers, and most dollar
stores.
Arms socks rock! They can be purchased at Claires, or DIY by cutting finger
holes in bright socks!
Glamorous gloves!!! OK, so they are a bit princessy, but they make a statement! Wear
them with a mini skirt and high boots to look totally retro! You can buy some
at Claires, dollar stores, thrift stores, or your grandma might have a pair!
Go all out by using this feathered scarf as a belt
or just a scarf! Ooh la la! You may find this a bit overboard, but when in
rocker style there is no such thing as overboard! Claires sells feathered
scarves in pink, purple, black, white, etc. Look around because these babies
are easy peasy to find!
Those bargain price knitted sweaters are so
perfect! Buy one with bright stripes, because stripes fit this style so well!
Hey, if you’re talented you could make your own… or you could buy one at the
thrift store for a few dollars!
Maybe it’s just me but… retro glasses rock! No, something
this cool has to be liked by many! You can buy an expensive pair, or buy lots
of plastic ones to match (or contrast) with your outfit! Buy at eye wear stores
if you need prescription glasses, and find some at sunglasses stores if you
don’t!
Warning: When paired with a side cap
you may look way to cool for bystanders! Dangling
earrings are so wicked, especially when paired
up with pearls! If you’d like to mix retro with rock, these 1950’s earrings
will do the trick! You don’t have to get actual pearls to look good, even
imitations look groovy! Buy them at the thrift store, just make sure you clean
them first, or switch the parts that go through your ears with new ones!
Belts a la neon! Buy a couple of brightly colored belts to wear all at
once! Whoever said belts should be worn in belt loops was wrong! If you want to
you should wear your belt over a dress for a killer new look! Wear a black
simple dress, and put a neon green belt over it… now that’s funky! The good
thing is that belts are sold in most clothes stores, so you have a lot to
choose from!
What completes a look better than a
beautiful manicure… a funky manicure! Wear one color at a time or a different
color on each nail! You can even buy glow in the dark or peel-off neon nail polish! Shopper’s
Drugmart sells lots of different nail polish at low costs!
It may sound scary, but red lipstick shows that you’ve
got confidence and class! It also shows that you’re one wild child who dares to
splurge on that red lippy! Buy some red lipstick at Wal-Mart or Shopper’s
Drugmart, and let your red lips do all the talking!

OK, so you can treat yourself once in a
while right? To complete your retro rocker look you might want to invest in a biker/old
school jacket (if you know what I mean). Here’s what I’m talking about:
Leather doesn’t
come cheap, so you may want to look for something similar without the leather!
You will want to look for a form fitting jacket with a lot of edge! You could
look at a leather store or Le Chateau for imitations.
Here is what I
mean by old school; the type of jacket Nelly wears in music videos (except a
few sizes smaller). You can easily find one at a thrift store, since they’re
basically old sport team’s jackets.
