Rustic Jeans

Materials:

-sandpaper

-shaving razor

-scissors

-pair of jeans that are not worn in enough for you

Instructions:

1- Let your sandpaper become one with some key spots: the knees, back pockets, top of waistband, and any other area that you think would rock to look a little distressed. Rub like the wind. Sandpaper works especially well on darker washes.

2- Pick a place (the other knee, the other back pocket, the outer lining of a front pocket) and give it tiny (*tiny,* we said) snips with the scissors. Use your razor to pick at the wound, making it frayed without looking cut from a pattern.

Cut-Up Tee

Materials:

-form fitting t-shirt you have permission to vandalize

-scissors

Instructions:

1-Spread your t-shirt out, so that there are no wrinkles and creases.

2-Grab your scissors (chop chop), and slice 3-5 diagonal lines on each side of the t-shirt.

3-Voila! Simple, non? Your t-shirt should have slits visible from the front and back! Now all you have to do is find a t-shirt with contrasting colors to wear underneath!

Lacey Booty

Materials:

-denim mini skirt or a pair of jeans that need a little oomph

-slip (for under dresses) with a lacy hem

-scissors

-fabric glue

Instructions:

1- Trace the outline of the back pockets on a piece of white paper, and then cut it out. Use your shape as a pattern to snip two back-pocket shapes out of your slip, using the hem as the top, flat side. Cut it a little taller than it needs to be.

2- Using the directions on your fabric glue, attach the silky slip, lace-side up, over both pockets. Since you cut it a little tall, you can let the lace peek over the top of the pocket to hide the denim fold.

3-Now… show off your new and improved skirt or jeans! You can also try using printed fabric, rhinestones, sequins, fabric paint, etc. to decorate your denim!
