| VII - STARTING LINEUPS |
| Teams must report a starting lineup every week of the season. Lineups must be reported before the kickoff of the first NFL game of the week. Often this is Sunday morning at 11 am, but sometimes the first game starts as early as 10:30 am Thursday morning. Check the NFL schedule regularly or call the Commissioner. It is the responsibility of the owner to know when NFL games take place and to report a lineup. It is recommended that lineups be reported no later than 15 minutes before the first game. Reported lineups, regardless of reporting method, can be changed by contacting the commissioner prior to the start of the first game of the week. Lineups can be posted on the message board, but should be posted at least one hour before the first game of the week in order to give the commissioner a chance to post an acknowledgement. Lineups can be sent by e-mail, however, the Commissioner is not responsible for lost mail. If you are sending by e-mail it is recommended that you do so at least a day in advance, so that you can receive confirmation e-mail. If you have sent your lineup by e-mail and have not received a confirmation, call the Commissioner. If you are reporting your lineup in the last hour, call the Commissioner. If the Commissioner is unavailable, leave a message on the message service, it will record the time of the call. If for some reason none of these options is available to you, try to get a witness for your lineup such as another owner. If an owner fails to report a lineup for a given week, his lineup will be filled with the lowest possible scoring players from his roster for the week. Frequent failure to report a lineup indicates disinterest in the league and may be grounds for expulsion from the league. It is understood that circumstances arise in which reporting a lineup becomes impossible. Under such circumstances, your opponent may opt to allow your roster to revert to the previous week's lineup. This option is intended for extreme situations and is solely up to the discretion and mercy of the opposing owner. It is also understood that circumstances may cause you to report your lineup late. The Commissioner will be as lenient as possible with late lineups, but in order to be fair to other teams, there is a limit to this leniency. If your lineup is late, and your opponent for that week demands that your lineup be finalized, then it will be treated as a failure to report a lineup. Regularly reporting your lineup late may be perceived as an attempt at cheating and should be avoided. Each team will submit a lineup consisting of the following: 1 Quarter Back 2 Running Backs 3 Wide Receivers 1 Kicker 1 Defensive Team Lineup positions must be filled with players from corresponding positions on your roster. Example: Joe Smith, who is a RB on the roster, may not be placed on your starting lineup as a WR, even if the coach of Joe's NFL team has stated that he will be playing at that position for the game. |
