VI - TRADES
Trades between KFFL teams is permitted under the following rules.

1) Official trades must be reported to the Commissioner by all involved parties.  Trades can not be reported while a "game" is in progress, that is until after the last NFL game of a week is over, and before kickoff of the next week's first NFL game.

2) Roster integrity must be maintained.  Trades must always involve equal roster positions on both sides.  Examples: You can not trade a QB for a RB. You can however trade a QB and a RB for a QB and a RB.

3) Draft day trades must also maintain integrity of both rosters and total draft choices.  Such trades may involve any combination of players and or draft choices as long as at the end of the trade, no team has more players at a particular position than is allowed, and as long as no team has more or less draft choices remaining than empty roster spots.

4) Trades should be made in good faith.  Owners should not trade players to another team when a severe defect is known to exist and the other team is not aware of that defect.  Example of what is not allowed: Joe Smith, who is on the Divided Instabilities roster, dies in a car accident at 4 o'clock.  The owner of the Divided Instabilities rushes to the phone in hopes of trading him before anyone else hears the news.  This gentleman's rule is primarily aimed at injured players or ones who have been let go by their NFL team.  This is not intended to cover players who are performing poorly, for it is the responsibility of each owner to follow the progress of prospective players for their team.  Players with severe defects are permitted to be traded as long as both parties are aware of the defect.

5) Temporary trades, or player loans, are not permitted.  Any player who is traded to another team, may not be traded back to the original team for a minimum of three weeks unless an injury occurs to one of the traded players after the trade.  The injured player must have been healthy at the time of the original trade, and the player reacquired must hold the same roster position as the injured player.  Example of what is not allowed: The Divided Instabilities are one game behind the Alltime Titleists.  The Alltime Titleists are playing the Cheesy Coatracks this week.  The Cheesy Coatracks are a pitiful team because they have really lousy kickers.  The Divided Instabilities happen to be playing another lousy team, the Scheming Beagles, and feel they can spare their best kicker for the week in hopes that the Alltime Titleists lose.  So they trade a kicker to the Cheesy Coatracks with an agreement that the kickers will be traded back the following week.

6) Any team which has locked its position in the standings for the remainder of the season (clinched without any chance of going up or down in the standings) is prohibited from making any trades with other teams.  An exception shall be made in cases where the "clinched" team has injuries, byes, etc... which prevent him/her from fielding a full team.
