| XI - CHAMPIONSHIP |
| The League Champion is the team which, at the end of the Regular NFL season, is in first place in the KFFL standings. The Champion is eligible to select an award for his achievement. This award will be paid for by the losing owners based on the percentages established in section V. The award may be whatever the Champion chooses so long as it is related to Fantasy Football and its cost to the losing owners does not exceed the maximum allowed. The maximum cost permitted for the prize is based upon the size of the league as follows: League size - maximum prize cost under 6 teams $25 6 to 8 teams $40 over 8 teams $50 If the cost of the item exceeds this amount, then the Champion is welcome to pay the additional cost. The championship prize must be purchased no later than the day before the first game of the next NFL regular season. If the prize is not purchased by that time, the other owners are no longer obligated to pay for it. Trophy - In addition to the award mentioned above, there is a trophy which is temporarily given to the Champion until such time as he is no longer Champion, then the trophy moves on to the next Champion. On the base of the trophy are metal plates recording each of the Champions throughout the history of the league. As each new Champion is crowned, a new plate will be added to the trophy. This trophy was the Champion award choice of the Alpine Novelists after one of their championships, and will revert to the ownership of David A. Kilman at such time as the league is disbanded, or the trophy is retired, or replaced. The team currently holding the trophy is responsible for its well being. Plaque - A plaque shall be commissioned for the purpose of recognizing the achievement of being the highest scoring team for the season. On that plaque will be metal plates recording the point leader for each season throughout the history of the league. The plaque shall be updated annually and remain in the possession of the reigning scoring leader until the conclusion of the following season. The team currently holding the plaque is responsible for its well being. |
