The crumpled remains were barely recognizable as human,
but Kodiak silently pointed to a melted green and gold medallion around the neck.
"It's Tharn," he said quietly.
Derek looked about at the blasted landscape. "I wonder how he ended up here?"
Karnak frowned as he looked at the torched, broken bones scattered about. Something had fed here. Judar made to move on, but Carlzberg said, "We can't just leave him like this."
Karnak and Judar watched as the others dug a grave and placed their friend inside. Judar acted barely tolerant, but Karnak was strangely moved.
