Russell Northbound Kildare County's Wayne Russell looks set to follow manager Dermot Keely to Derry City, after the club accepted an increased offer for the player. County had already turned down a bid from Keely's new side last week, but General Manager Pat McNally said that the latest offer was too good to refuse. Pat said "When Derry City came back with an improved offer we had no option but to accept. It is good business sense and all that remains is for Wayne to agree terms. The decision to allow Wayne talk to Derry City was a difficult one as Wayne has been the outstanding player over the last six weeks. The Club are grateful to Wayne and would like to wish him the very best."
