Russell Bid Rejected Kildare County General Manager Pat McNally has confirmed that the Leinster club had turned down a bid from Derry City for in-form goalkeeper Wayne Russell. Russell moved to the Thoroughbreds at the start of the season from Waterford United and has already had six clean sheets this campaign. It was rumoured that Russell may be following Dermot Keely to Derry City following David Forde's departure.
However, Pat McNally has rejected Keely's bid for the
player. He reaffirmed his earlier statement that the players are going
nowhere by saying "We have gathered a squad together that is good enough
for promotion". |
