Britton Leaves Thoroughbreds Kildare County's Matt Britton has decided to call it a day at Station Road. Britton, 29, joined County from Bray Wanderers after a lack of first team opportunities at the club. However, the case has been much the same at Kildare County with travel and work commitments hampering Britton's chances of a permanent first team place. Travelling to Kildare was an absolute nightmare. It was taking me two and a half hours in total. I was out there three days a week. Then a match at weekends or training on Sunday morning. With work commitments it was just killing me", he told the Wicklow People. However, Britton has not ruled out a return to football in general (or Bray Wanderers). "You never know what is around the corner. I’ve been doing a bit of training on my own to keep in shape" he said
