MATCH REPORT 25 July 2003 KILDARE COUNTY 3-1 CRUMLIN UNITED Temporary Kildare manager John Ryan tonight became the club's first ever manager to have a 100% win record, as County advanced to the third round of the FAI Carlsberg Cup. Both Shay Zeller and Wayne Russell passed pre-match tests and were cleared to play in the game. Both players helped determine the outcome of the match, with Russell keeping the ball out at one end and Zeller creating chances at the other. Zeller created the first goal in the twenty third minute when defender John Nolan deflected his cross past a stranded Sutton in the Crumlin goal. County were two-nil at the break, after Alan McNevin scored a penalty following a foul on Barry O'Connor. The away side gave themselves a lifeline when Sean Murray scored in the fiftieth minute, but this was quickly cancelled out by Philip Hughes' strike less than five minutes later.
