• Chem/CE people, in general, are an unremarkable lot. Some are like Paul and Richard are the guided missile type of guys. They have a clear cut plan in life...complete with defined goals and a planned timetable. Some...like me and a few others have no idea whatsoever what we want to be and what we want to do in the future. We just go wherever the tide of fate takes us. Our urgings are nothing but immediate needs, our course of action are inevitable human response to circumstantial variables. In a way, it reminded me of inexplicable yet essentially true mutterings about life from a book by some guy I forgot which we read on our english class(yes we did learn something there). The book is titled Unbearable lightness of being and rightly so for the sentiments/morals revolves around responsibilities and its existential definition to the human condition. It is through our attempt to fulfill the various burdens life impose upon us that we stuggle and hope. Struggle, uncertainty, success, failure is in fact the very definition of life. Remove these things and we are but a shell and life becomes unbearable.

  • Brian and his Night as the drunken master - They went home early after getting low grades on some examination. Instead of going home though, they opted to drown their sorrows with the help of endless bottles of beer. A few hours early, a really groggy Brian accompanied by an equally groggy Rocky stepped out of the drinking joint. Brian, in a haze of drunken oblivion, impulsively demanded that he and Rocky go to the school's girl dormitory. What happened there is unknown but suffice to say that Brian left the place smiling ear to ear and after a few minutes, puked all over Rocky's backseat. This didn't make Rocky happy at all and he was tempted to sell his drunken friend to some gay bars along quezon to get his ass reamed.
  • Tons of Tequila at Tagaytay - A few months after school, everyone wanted a get together. Richard volunteered one of their house in Tagaytay as the place to go. With a few exceptions we were all there. Nothing special happened really. Dinner was spoiled after somebody overroast the beef. So we were all pretty hungry when we started drinking. Dont get me wrong though, I abhor drinking. Anyways, somebody brought tequila and everyone in the circle, guy or girl, had to drink. After a few rounds, a few of the girls got really drunk. Janina, for example, was glassy eyed and kept asking everybody if they love her. I was like "Richard, now is your time for her defenses are down. Brought down by a massive bombardment of alcohol" but he adamantly refused. He prolly cant get it up anyway. Gina, aldhel, and others were always smiling and would laugh at anything anybody would say. I wont say what happened next because you wont be interested anyway.
  • The Rocky,Joel,Joseph Sia Fiasco - We all know what happened to these 3 guys. If they only told me what they were about, I could have helped. I mean I was close to the girls they were courting. Gina was my high school classmate and Janina, well I tutored her once about something.
