Lauren: "What the hell are they?"
Eric moved in closer to one of the bodies.
Eric: "I don't know....man, they look like they have been dead for weeks."
Lauren was puzzled.
Lauren: "But how? We just killed them."
Eric: "Beats me, we better get back to the others."
Eric got up and walked over to Dale's body.
Eric: "Dammit! I'm sorry Dale."
Eric picked up Dale's Badge.
Eric: "Now I have to tell your family the bad news."
Eric's eyes filled with tears.
Eric: "It is all my goddamn fault. Now Dale's kids don't have a father because of me."
Lauren moved over to Eric and placed her hand on his shoulder.
Lauren: "There was nothing you could have done. Don't blame yourself."
Eric turned to Lauren.
Eric: "I know but, now a family has been destroyed. I will get revenge for Dale."
Lauren smiled.
Lauren: "And I'll help you get that revenge."
Eric gave a quick smile as he dried his eyes.
Eric: "Anyway...where did you go off to?"
Lauren: "I was seperated from the group in all of the bushes and darkness."
Eric: "Did ya find anything?"
Lauren grew quiet.
Eric: "Are you ok?"
Lauren looked away.
Lauren: "It's John...he's..."
Eric: "No..."
Lauren pulled out a badge and handed it to Eric. Eric took one look at it and grew angry.
Eric: "Goddamn it!"
Lauren: "Those things got him too."
Eric held the badge tightly. He knew that for whoever was responsible for these things would be punished if he found them.
Eric: "Well...were there any others?"
Lauren: "No, but his last words were that his team was still alive."
Eric thought for a min. Maybe they had found shelter in one of the abandon apartments next to the park.
Eric: "Lets get back to the team, I think I know where John's team might be holding up."
