Nemo is the first betta we bought.
He was a striking turquoise color when we brought him home, but over a few days changed to a deep blue.
He is very elegant and quiet betta, unlike the others! Nemo and Marlin each have their own 2.5 gallon tank. |
Marlin was second. He is a butterfly
betta. His body is blue, his fins are red and the edges blue again. He loves to bite the finger that feeds him.
He will jump high to bite you when you put in his food, and nearly jumped out of his tank one time! |
Flame was next. He used to live in the planted
10 gallon, but he terrorized the otos and cories. So we split a 10 gallon into 3 and he lives in one end. |
This is the divided 10 gallon. Flame is in
the left third, Spike in the right third, and a female betta will go in the middle. |
Spike is a crowntail betta.
His fins are feathered. He is very young and is quite a bit smaller than the other bettas. |
This 10 gallon in the only
truly planted tank we have. When we trim plants in this tank, we put the trimmings into the other tanks. They
don't grow well in the other tanks due to insufficient light.
This tank has 6 endlers, 2 panda cories and 3 otocinclus affinis. |
These are the endlers. They are a relative of the
common guppy. These are males, and they will only grow to about 1 inch long. |
This is one of the Panda Cories. They are
extremely cute fish. If I ever have a bigger tank I will get a lot of cories. |
