Who Will Take The Rap For Cedric's Death On PC? - (Soap Opera Weekly):
Alison suffers the aftermath of her violent encounter with Cedric this week on Port Charles. With Cedric dead and Alison nearly catatonic, Jamal sets about making things right for his friend. Unfortunately, his efforts to get Alison in the clear create more trouble for himself. Following Jamal's discovery of the beaten Alison and the lifeless Cedric, Frank and Jamal take her to GH. Alison can hardly cope with what's happened to her. "Everything is completely stripped from her," Erin Hershey (Alison) explains. "This is where the shock, the whole staring off into space, comes into play. She's never had to be in this position. She has nothing after this, and it's very scary. She doesn't know what to do." While Eve tends to Alison, telling her she needs a rape exam as a precaution, Jamal claims he killed Cedric, hoping to keep the suspicion off Alison. Unfortunately for him, his plan works, and the police begin building a case against him. Kevin is able to get through to Alison, who doesn't remember exactly what happened. "She isn't able to communicate right away," Hershey says. "She doesn't know what's going on. She's afraid for Jamal, but she's also afraid for herself." Jamal, meanwhile, agrees to let Scott represent him, as long as Alison is left out of it. Alison can't handle it, however, when she learns that Jamal has been arrested. Out on bail, Jamal visits Alison in the hospital and gives her the same story he told the police. As Alison begins her healing process, the police come to a conclusion about Jamal's role in Cedric's demise.
