Current Position
Owner/Operator, Jamal's Bike Shop. "Jamal, along with his best friend, Jack, does everything in the bike shop," says Kiko Ellsworth (Jamal). "He works on the motorcycles, he replaces parts, he gathers clientele, he does the books. He basically takes care of everything because he owns and runs the place, although Alison is the one who got the whole thing started. She convinced him to start his own business because Jamal didn't think he could do something as big as [this]. It's the type of business where clients can call and leave requests on the answering machine. He'll then return their calls and go to the shop. It may not be seen on-screen, but Jamal goes to work all the time! I mean, he lives in an apartment, but we don't see a lot of that, either."
Previous Experience
Part-Time Waiter/Bartender, The Recovery Room. "He would take on a few shifts at The Recovery Room now and then, and he still helps out whenever Frank needs someone."
Motorcycle Racer: "Jamal raced professionally, and that's where he learned everything there is to know about bikes. He learned to ride, he learned about the parts and how to repair them; everything came naturally to him. He didn't go to school, or anything like that."
