"There was plenty more between Alison and Jamal before Cedric's death, and that was just an event that happened during the course of their relationship, a horrible situation that they went through. It wasn't something that established them as being in a relationship. It just brought them closer. They were on the route of doing that anyway, but his death was something that made it happen sooner. Alison and Jamal both kind of have a spunky attitude, which is really interesting to watch, yet they are two totally, completely different characters. With Alison and Jamal, you mix everything up and have one person from one side of the tracks and one person from the other. However, they have the same attitude towards things. It's really good. Jamal and Frank would be another great relationship to build upon. They have kind of like a friendship/brother thing going on, especially since Frank is having problems with his own brother Joe. That's definitely something that I would like to see happen in the future. It fits into the storyline and I also get along really well with Jay Pickett, who portrays Frank. Developing that would be really good. I'd like to see their relationship go in that direction. Besides Dara, Jamal doesn't have any family around him, so having that kind of bond with Frank is something that Jamal needs and could grow from."
