Kiknkowgirl's Story Page 3
Most of my life I've taken one step forward and ended up two steps back.  Just when I think I've got it all figured out, the path before me splits and I'm headin' a different direction.  Sometimes my life is vibrantly alive and full of promise.  Then other times it is quietly obscure.

I've enjoyed a variety of life experiences.  From being a housewife, a mother, a student, a preacher's wife, an interpreter for the deaf, a competitive artist, a published writer, a lecturer, a teacher, and a cancer survivor.  As an interpreter for the deaf, I've met many wonderful people and learned some of what it is like for them to live in a hearing world.  My greatest enjoyment came when I discovered my American Indian roots, found acceptance within the dance arena, organized a give-away and paid my way into the circle to dance in my own regalia.  I greatly respect the drum which represents the heartbeat of Mother Earth and those who gather around the drum and bring it to life.  Found a special home as I joined my brothers and sisters around that drum and let it calm my troubled soul.  I have taught anger management seminars.  Received my degree in Women's Biblical Studies and Deaf Communications from Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock, TX.  Fondly I look back over the past 50 years and can see what a rewarding and active life I've been priviledged to enjoy.

At this moment you may ask do I know where life will take me? And I will answer:  No.  But, I will tell you this, I know who I am:  a child of God and a Christian.  And after a 6 month sabbatical inside the cave of life, I know who God created me to be:  a Writer/Author and a Christian Life Coach.

Been through my share of illnesses and surgeries.  Refuse to complain since I still have all my limbs, each in working order.  I'm not physically blind.  Not physically deaf.  I can still clearly think,  reason logically, and can take care of myself.  Yet my body does carry its battle scars.  Each one has a story of its own and a victory which took its place.

Hope you have found a connection between us here.  For we all are related.  Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to share a part of my life's story with you.  May your life's journey be filled with joy, love, laughter and happiness.  Remember:  "Faith, hope, love; but, the greatest of these is love."  Ah'Ho.
