"My Animal Totem-SheBear"
My spirit animal is the Bear. . .

We met when I was about 7 years old.  My parents and I were on vacation in Yellowstone National Park when SheBear, escorting her two cubs along the highway,  walked up to our car, stood on her hind legs and peered inside at me.  I felt no fear.  I was mesmerized by her.  She looked directly at me, we made eye contact, then she dropped back down and walked away.

When we stopped later, her paw print had been left on the driver's door.  It was huge!  We took our vacation and once we returned home, we showed her paw print to all our friends and family.

She was a gentle spirit.  Only curious and protective of her cubs.  We were riding in a dark blue Oldsmobile Tornado at the time, and she stood up against the door where my father was driving.  Him an I have always had a special spiritual connection.  I believe that is why she chose that door to leave her print.  It wasn't until I was much, much older, that I understood what happened that day.  That she was there to guide me along my spiritual journey.  I am the SheBear, too.  And I thank her for sharing a part of her animal spirit in my life.  Ah' ho.
