These are the Eleven Satanic Rules of the Earth, as written by Anton Szandor LaVey founder of the Church of Satan. Please read on, i guarantee Satanism isn't what you think it is. There are no animal sacrafices, baby killings, or ritual child abuse. In fact, every Satanist i have ever spoken to despises these actions. These 'rules' are similar to that of the Christian 'Ten Commandments' in that they are simply a guide to living a happy, healthy, hate free life, without demanding that you deny your instincts, wants and desires. Please investigate this belief system further if it interests you, i have added a few links to some sites which should give you the information you need, to have a full understanding of it. Why is the word 'Satan' involved? Because the word by definition, means the opposition, or the adversary. We oppose the 'norm' the 'status quo', we embrace the need to learn, to explore, to question, and above all to live our own lives. The beauty of this is that we can pick and choose, from other beliefs and our own feelings, to create our own, individual belief structure. The one quote that always sums it up for me was said by Aleister Crowley (1875-1947) a Poet, Author, Magickian, Yogi, Philosopher, Mountain Climber, Drug User and Satyr, Crowley's output was prolific, and his life hedonistic, personally, i take him with a grain of salt, he could also have been labelled (and probably was) 'a madman'. The quote however makes more sense than any commandment i have ever heard or read. 'Do what thou wilt, shall be the whole of the law'. |

Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked.
Do not tell your troubles to others unless you are sure they want to hear them.
When in another's lair, show him respect or else do not go there.
If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy.
Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal.
Do not take that which does not belong to you unless it is a burden to the other person and he cries out to be relieved.
Acknowledge the power of magic if you have employed it successfully to obtain your desires. If you deny the power of magic after having called upon it with success, you will lose all you have obtained.
Do not complain about anything to which you need not subject yourself.
Do not harm little children.
Do not kill non-human animals unless you are attacked or for your food.
When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him. |
