Tori can be a bit unfriendly and moody, especially when someone brings up her past. Her boyfriend left her and her child stranded in Chicago, and she had to move in with Val in NYC, as Val is one of the only people Tori doesn't feel is judging her. Tori's relationships with her parents, grandparents, and older sister Vanessa is strained at best; they never approved of Lina's father, and when she realized how bad he was, she didn't want to hear an "I told you so" from the older members of her family.
She is now going back to school to get a degree in architecture at a small university in New Jersey called Ragnor University. This means that she is gone away most of the week and only comes back on the weekends, which are spent working at a friend's restaurant in Manhattan.
Tori's experiences in the past didn't leave much openness for romance, however, she does find herself spending many of her few free nights with Matt Bluestone, who gave her the nickname "Bird-Lady". As for the future of this relationship, who knows?
