Info- Tenchi Masaki is just a normal, albeit rather slow, 17-year-old living near Tokyo with his lecherous father and his strict, somewhat odd grandfather, the keeper of the family shrine. That is, he WAS normal until he rescued a female space pirate named Ryoko whose space ship had crashed near his home. After that, nothing was the same. Following Ryoko, Tenchi had "adopted" two alien princesses, a ditzy female police officer and her somewhat reluctant crime-fighting partner, and a mad scientist who has the habit of using Tenchi as her guinea pig when she does experiments. To add to that, Tenchi has discovered that he is an alien prince and is now being chased by villains from the farthest reaches of space. And to top it all off, all the girls have moved intop his house and are all rivaling for his affection. What is he to do???????
My Opinion: This is a great anime, even though the main character is an idiot with his single redeeming factor being his choir-boy face and an irritatingly cute klutziness. The one thing that really stands out is the characters. They are all so well-defined, from the perverted Noboyuki, Tenchi's father, to the completely clueless police officer Mihoshi to the manaically brilliant and majorly cool scientist Washu to the sickenly sweet yet irrestitable princess Sasami to the brash yet sensitive Ryoko to the truly victimized Kiyone to the prissy but not-as-shallow-as-you-think other princess Ayeka to the responsible and humorous grandpa Yosho/Katsuhito to the...well, I digress. Tenchi Muyo was the anime that really got me into all the anime stuff. A good buy, definetly!!!!!
TENCHI MUYO THE MOVIE: TENCHI MUYO IN LOVE
Info: All is well in Tenchi-land until Lord Tenchi starts to vanish!! Washu immedietly pinpoints the source of the danger. It seems that a bad guy has gone back in time to kill Tenchi's parents so Tenchi will never be born and so can never be a thorn in the bad guy(his name is Cain)'s cosmic rear. Washu sends the whole gang, excluding herself, back in time to save Tenchi's parents. Hilarity ensues as the gang tries to get along in 1976 and defeat the baddie. Plus, you get to meet teenage Achika(Tenchi's mom) and teenage Noboyuki, who is absolutley adorable and just so shy and sweet. Geez, what happened? You also meet a younger Yosho, who bears a striking resemblence to his present-self.

TENCHI THE MOVIE 2- DAUGHTER OF DARKNESS
Info: Tenchi is enjoying a nice summer day when suddenly a young girl marches up to him. The girl bears a striking resemblence to all the girls in one way or another: Sasami's hair style, Ryoko's eyes, etc. What really suprises him is that she calls him, "DADDY!" The gals are all shocked and immedietly begin trying to figure out exactly who this girl Mayuka's mother is. Washu and Ryoko suspect that something more sinister is at hand, and it all boils down to a vengeful demon with a grudge against Yosho.
My Opinion: I really liked this one. It is funny and it shows some of Ryoko's true personality. The end is very suprising. Tenchi is an IDIOT!!!!!!!
NADIA-SECRET OF BLUE WATER
Info: A Gainax classic series very loosly based on the novel 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. I say very loosly because the original book had nothing about the lost continent of Atlantis, aliens, an evil madman trying to subjugate the world, or a funny team of former jewel thieves assisting the main characters, a dorky-but-oh-so-cute 14-year-old French inventor named Jean, a mysterious and constantly PMS-ing circus performer with no memory of her childhood named Nadia who has a mystical blue jewel around her neck, a five-year-old orphan girl name Marie who is always trying to fix Jean and Nadia up, and the obligatory intelligent animal, a lion cub named Prince. The jewel thieves in question are the Grandis Gang, which consists of former Italian socialite Grandis Granva, who lost her fortune due to a bad engagement. The only people who stood beside her were her chauffeur, Sanson, and her mechanic, Hanson. They fight for good now along with Nadia and the crew of the submarine Nautilus, which includes the captain, Nemo.
Opinion: Wow. This anime is one-of-a-kind. The characters, the drama, comedy, action, it is awesome!!!!!!
Opinion- How cute is this! It is made by CLAMP, my favorite manga company (aside from Rumiko Takahashi), and it just soooo adorable and sweet. Warning: There is homosexuality in some minor characters. If this bothers you, stay away!
